Urals Energy Public Company Limited ('Urals Energy' or the 'Company')
Press Speculation
Urals Energy, the AIM listed independent exploration and production company with operations in Russia, notes today’s press comments in Russia suggesting the Company’s subsidiary Petrosakh has committed to investments on its Pogranichniy Block, offshore Sakhalin.
The board of Urals wishes to notify shareholders that this comment is untrue and that the board is not currently planning such an investment. Urals Energy's strategy remains as set out in the Company's announcement dated 19 February 2010.
